In ARCHIUM (Latin term for archive) we point to something that connects living beings, from the smallest organisms to us humans, at the deepest level. Instead of looking at what divides us, what seeds discord and causes individualism to develop into egoism or narcissism, Liliana Barros focuses in the ballet ARCHIUM on what "holds us together at our core". The question of the fundamental nature of living beings and their interaction is revealed in the specific behaviour of the dancers towards each other and among themselves in the group. They move as a collective, bound to a central genetic information, symbolised by an object on stage from which everything develops. The collective intelligence of the organism embodied by the dancers is characterised by the need to evolve. In the group, the individuals may act individually, but their swarm intelligence always makes them feel like a community. They always returnto the core of their existence, that holds them together.
