Beyond the myth, I turn to the figure of IKARUS as a field of forces. What we might call an Icarus complex unfolds as shifting energy states—desire stretching upward, exhilaration at the edge, blindness in the glare, the ecstasy of height, the inevitability of descent.

My work does not retell the story. It moves through image and abstraction, through atmospheres rather than narrative. The journey of IKARUS stirs something intimate and unnameable—an inner tremor that mirrors a condition of our present: the relentless impulse to strive, to transcend, to outfly our own limits. From this threshold, I enter the journey through dance. The body becomes the site where ascent and collapse coexist, where ambition turns to surrender, where falling is not failure but transformation. Movement traces what cannot be spoken—the heat of longing, the vertigo of flight, the quiet mutation that begins the moment we let go.

The wings—a symbol of freedom and flight—are here rendered through a contrasting, heavy, and cold element: metal. They speak of a futurist impulse, a prosthesis for enhancement, yet carry a paradox. They are meant to hold, to lift, yet they weigh; they promise flight, yet contain; they are wings, and yet a trap. In their contradiction lies the tension of aspiration: the desire to rise entwined with the weight of what binds us, the very tools of liberation turning into instruments of restraint—what becomes the burden of your desire.
